If someone in your life is hurting you or makes you feel afraid, help is available. Throughout the state of New Mexico, 28 programs and shelters are designed to improve well-being and reduce future violence for children and adults surviving domestic violence, family violence, and dating violence.

For immediate help, call your local provider or call, chat, or text with one of the national hotlines, who will provide support and connect you to local service providers, if appropriate.

“I was literally in need of almost everything at once. It was the most devastating time in my life. El Refugio was there for me in every way possible and continues to be there for my child and me.”
